San Antonio is blessed with so many talented arts organizations. Their survival insures that businesses, tourism and commerce will be attracted to this great city, now and in the future. That progress is what the Fund is all about!"

"Being part of theFund means that I can help a broad array of organizations devoted to the Arts.  San Antonio is blessed with cultural and artistic opportunities not found in any other city, and it's a joy to help build a structure that supports the Arts collectively and in different ways. Businesses in San Antonio benefit from having the Arts and diversity - it makes it easier to attract talented professionals and keep employees happy to be in a positive environment. I developed my love for the arts when I became a musician nearly 30 years ago. I studied music and know the impact the arts have on the individual, the spirit and mind, as well as the culture of our city. I believe every person should have access to the beauty of the arts and am honored to direct efforts to improve the funding and support of our tremendous and growing arts community in San Antonio.”

Brenda Johnston, Real Estate Relocation Specialist, Phyllis Browning Company
"I feel so fortunate to have lived in this great city for over 25 years. Supporting the fund is my small way of giving back to a community that has given me so much. The Phyllis Browning Company was one of the original founders of theFund and proudly supports all of its efforts with our time and money.  I have always been a huge fan of the Arts and feel very strongly that any great city  must have a strong artistic community in order to grow and develop into a “world class” city." Brenda Johnston
Larry Lapaglia, Center Service Management Lead Information Security Officer, Accenture

Having participated in the Arts throughout most of my life and raising two daughters, both of whom followed my footsteps, I know the personal value associated to having access to quality arts programs.  I cannot imagine not having access to the talents of people who are willing to share their skills and capabilities, asking nothing in return but appreciation of their efforts. The ability to improve one’s quality of life by participating, actively or passively, in the myriad offerings that comprise “Arts” is an invaluable asset available to each of us.  Without access to that, our lives would be so much poorer.  Participating in an organization like theFund gives me another opportunity to give back and, in even a small way, to share how my life has been enriched through the care and feeding of the Arts."

Brian Mason, Financial Representative, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network

Florence Macdaniel, Volunteer

I am dedicated to the arts.
Michelle McFadden, Business Travel Sales Manager, Hilton Hotel, San Antonio Airport
Joanna (JJ) Nichols, M.I.H., Epidemiologist, Texas Dept of State Health Services
Marc Nourani, Vice President and General Counsel, Green Fields Market

“I have always greatly admired and appreciated the artistic and creative talent of others, especially because I don’t feel that is a talent I myself possess to any significant degree. Although I was neither born nor raised in San Antonio, I have come to love this city and her people over the past twenty years.  Doing whatever I can to support and better our community is a passion for me.  theFund affords me an opportunity to support arts and culture in San Antonio and enrich our community in a much more meaningful and significant way.  San Antonio is already a wonderful city, but it is our arts, culture, creativity and passion that fuel our continual evolution into a world class community.”

Diana Schumacher, Fine Arts Department, NEISD

"As an arts educator, I see theFund as a vital link between students' education and the extension of their education into a cultural community where they will live and grow as artist and audience.  theFund provides a means to insure the broadening of organizations and audiences whose quality of life will be enriched by the vibrancy and diversity of a creative community."
Suzanne Scott, General Manager, San Antonio River Authority

"I believe arts are vital to the quality of life within our community. Working with an enviromental organization, I value how the arts and the environmental are brought together in many ways."
Kathy Swanson, Executive Marketing Consultant, Strategic Direct Marketing Solutions
Melanie Toniazzo, Director Small Business, Humana

As a mother of 2 young daughters, I am concerned about the cultural education of my children. School arts activities are severely challenged due to budget constraints.  My husband and I look to other alternatives to cultivate the creative interests of our girls. As a new resident in the San Antonio area, I want to make sure that all children, not just mine, have access to multicultural experiences and artistic influences. When I was introduced to theFund at a local office meeting, I was immediately intrigued with the depth and breadth of the programs supported.”

Polly Underwood, Vice President, Citigroup
"I became a board member, because of my desire to serve my community coupled with my passion for the arts, combined with my willingness to take an active role to support the efforts of theFund, from promoting theFund, to companies, to working on special assignments."
Olga Vasquez, Volunteer
John Worthington, Senior Vice President, Security Service Federal Credit Union

Being part of theFund is important to me and my company as it generates a valuable source of new money to support organizations whose programs enhance and expand art and culture for our community. Our employees appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the arts as  several have children who participate in programs conducted by affiliates of theFund. They fully appreciate the impact that arts and culture have on our community. One only has to experience the amazing sights, sounds, and textures that made up Luminaria to be proud to part of theFund.”
