Several times a year theFund participates at community festivals to introduce theFund to the citizens of San Antonio.
LUMINARIA March 13th, 2010
6pm - 12 am
Luminaria, San Antonio's Arts Night is a free event, open to the public. There will be 5 performing arts stages and visual arts will be on display in the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. There will be beer concessions, and drinks and food booths in La Villita.

The Office of Cultural Affairs presents the second annual Arts in Our Parks, a free program developed to promote the arts in San Antonio and showcase Parks and Recreation
Facilities and programs. Enjoy performances from local arts groups and art activities for the kids, while browsing the holiday market
filled with art from local artists and crafts people. This event is free and open to the public, and provides a great opportunity for families to get out and enjoy our parks and have fun!

Arts in Our Parks organized by the Office of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Parks and Recreation is a series of arts and cultural events held in City parks.

Los Leones Art Show and Sale Nov. 7, 2009, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30
Los Leones Student Arts Festival featured by NISD. Los Leones exhibits Northside student art for sale to teach the "business of art" to participating students. Awards of $25 are given by theFund to the winners. Student artists as young as 4 years old and as old as 18 will exhibit and sell their work and limited edition prints at the 14th Annual Los Leones Student Art Festival Saturday, Nov. 7th, 2009 at Leon Valley Conference and Community Center, 6427 Evers Road. The event draws thousands to participate in a day of family fun.
The free outdoor festival was inspired by former Leon Valley Mayor Marcy Meffert. Los Leones ("The Lions" in Spanish) teaches students about "the business of art," while also working to establish an active arts community. Come out and support the next generation of artists and maybe find that unique gift for the holidays that you have been searching for.

Enjoying the craft activities at the fair in the Children's Garden, Fiesta Arts Fair 2009
Fiesta Arts Fair organized and hosted by our affiliate,The Southwest School of Art and Craft, Fiesta Arts Fair has become one of America's top ten art fairs. The 2-day art festival kicks off Fiesta and features approximately 120 artists, live music, a Children's Art Garden and good food and beverages. 2009 was theFund's first time hosting a booth. Several visitors purchased theFund discount card to help support theFund's mission to support organizations like the Southwest School of Art and Craft.
