			<title>2010 Campaign</title>
<description> Luminaria &amp;#8211; theFund organized the volunteer corps. <title>Bio - who is behind the social media voice for theFund</title>
<description> Kathy LeMaster Office Manager, theFund Having grown up in Chicago, I had the benefit of experiencing a multitude of art and cultural opportunities throughout the city. I am very grateful, that when I was in school, music and art classes were a mandatory part of the curriculum, and field trips to all the cities museums were a much anticipated annual event. Enjoying the arts have always been an important part of my family's life, so I have encouraged my own children and grandchildren to appreciate the arts and culture by visiting museums, plays, ballet, musical and cultural events and reading to them. When my family first moved to San Antonio in 2006, my granddaughter quickly became involved in theatre, singing and dancing in musicals at the Josephine Theatre. She also sang in her high school choir at Clark and Johnson HIgh Schools. The impact that involvement with art (painting) music, and performing arts has had on her cognitive, communication skills and self confidence,...

			<title>Make a Difference</title>
<description> In 2006, six students from the International School of the Americas, (ISA), approached theFund with the idea of producing a fund raiser for theFund as their project. Their mission was to broaden the awareness of the variety of arts in San Antonio. The school asks the students in the freshman class to select a program under their schools &amp;#8220;Make a Difference&amp;#8221; program. These students, Jordan Birnbaum, Rosalie Bonner, Clara Gutierrez, Colin McGilvray, John Miller, and Consuelo Avila produced the first event held at the Magik theatre in March of 2006. The event was called &amp;#8220;From Garage Spaces to A Night of the Arts&amp;#8221; and featured performances from theFund affiliates, and local &amp;#8220;garage&amp;#8221; bands.Florence MacDaniel, then a member of theFund board of directors, volunteered to mentor the students as they worked to produce the event. Florence has continued in the service working with each class since inception of the events. The students produced the...
