Thousands of costly and painful surgeries are scheduled for the back, knees and more every year. Many of these surgeries could have been avoided if more conservative options were made available early on. At Health by Design, we always look for the least invasive option for pain management, which is why we’re so proud of our physical therapy professionals.

We will work with your body to help it do what it does naturally: heal itself. Through a personalized treatment plan, they can minimize your pain and help your body function properly BEFORE you need expensive surgery.

You can schedule a preliminary physical therapy consultation with a referral from any primary care physician—even if your physician is outside Health by Design. If you have back pain, knee pain, joint pain or arthritis anywhere, consider consulting with a physical therapist. It’s one of the best first steps you can take for your preventative care.

Don’t wait until you need surgery.

Health by Design CEO Hosts Cook Well, Be Well

On April 25th, Health by Design CEO David Blank joined our Westover Hills Cook Well, Be Well class as a guest demonstrator. David created a salad with bright red beets, mandarin oranges, walnuts, carrots and cheddar cheese topped with his famous mustard-based salad dressing. Retirees enjoyed David’s creation along with some fresh grilled salmon. The homemade salad dressing was such a hit that coordinators had to rush to print off extra recipe cards for attendees to take home!

Cook Well, Be Well is just one of the many activities Health by Design offers members of The Fund at NO COST. Other past activities have included Bingo, wine glass painting and even book clubs. May is marked by blooming flowers, and participants in our first Mod Podge painting classes certainly ran with the spring theme. In May we hosted ladies learning to paint flower pots in our Schertz, Westover Hills and Fair Oaks locations. This summer, more Mod Podge meetings will continue, as will other painting activities and opportunities.
