SABRINA FELTON, MD
WESTOVER HILLS WELLNESS CENTER
Dr. Sabrina Felton completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the Xavier University of Louisiana in 2006 and obtained her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2010. During her academic studies, she became a commissioned officer with the United States Air Force and was a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program award.

Following graduation, she completed an internal medicine residency at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, and proudly served active-duty personnel and retirees as a staff internist at Lackland AFB. After fulfilling her commitment to the military, she continued to serve veterans at the San Antonio VA.

As a wife and mother of two handsome boys, Dr. Felton strives to treat patients like family with the belief that building positive relationships promotes lasting wellness.

HUGO SALAZAR, MD
WESTOVER HILLS WELLNESS CENTER
Dr. Hugo Salazar is a Rio Grande Valley native from San Juan, TX. He graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his Family Medicine residency at the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program. Additionally, Dr. Salazar completed his Sports Medicine fellowship with the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Sports Medicine Fellowship Program.

Specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Salazar continues to provide sideline sports coverage for local teams to help provide medical care for young aspiring athletes.

He enjoys running in his spare time and spending time with his wife, Joni, son Rafael and dog, Waffles.

ALLISON SMITH, MD
WESTOVER HILLS WELLNESS CENTER
Dr. Allison Smith was born and raised in Austin, TX before switching over to the winning team to attend the University of Oklahoma for college (Boomer Sooner!) She graduated from OU with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Spanish.

In the year between graduating college and entering medical school, Dr. Smith studied public health through the UT School of Public Health. She then went to medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. At UTMB, she completed the Bilingual Health Track and participated in integrative medicine and nutritional counseling clubs.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Smith moved to San Antonio to train at the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency program. She was able to take care of a wide variety of patients in both the clinic and hospital settings.

Dr. Smith continues to serve the San Antonio community. In her free time, she likes to hike, lift weights and spend time with her significant other and their two dogs and cat.

TAMARA DOMINGUEZ, MD
PAESANOS PARKWAY WELLNESS CENTER

A true Texas girl, Dr. Tamara Dominguez was born and raised in Little Elm. She moved to Denton and graduated from the University of North Texas, where she majored in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso.

Dr. Dominguez is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Board of Family Medicine. From 1997 to 2006, she served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has been recognized as a “Best Doctor” in numerous publications, including US World News and Report, Texas Monthly and NSIDE Magazine.

In her free time, Dr. Dominguez enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and their three children. She also enjoys dancing, horseback riding and traveling internationally to learn about new cultures, people and history.

NICHOLAS MASOZERA, MD, MPH

Dr. Nicholas Masozera is a board-certified internist with a passion for Preventative Care. He has been working with the Veterans Health Administration for the last 22 years and is honored to have taken care of America’s finest. Dr. Masozera started out at the Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, where he worked for 17 years. For the last five years, he worked at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System in Pensacola, FL, where he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff. Dr. Masozera completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and completed his medical training at Makerere University Medical School in Kampala, Uganda. He also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University in New York.

Dr. Masozera is married to his wonderful wife, May, a mental health nurse. They have two children—a daughter in Graduate Pharmacy School and a son who is serving as an Officer in the US Air Force, alongside his wife, who is also an Air Force Officer.

He enjoys working with young people to help them realize their God-given talents for His glory. His hobbies include reading, listening to music, walking and playing table tennis.

REETHU NAYAK, MD

Dr. Reethu Nayak received her medical degree in 2016 from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed her residency at UTHSC/UHS in San Antonio and is board certified in Family and Community Medicine. She also received her Master of Science in Health Services Research and Master of Health Administration from Texas State University in San Marcos.

Dr. Nayak previously worked at the Texas Department of Health and Austin Community College. For two years, she worked in a multidisciplinary group practice. Dr. Nayak is passionate about preventive medicine and community health.

In addition, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening and cooking in her free time.

DARLENE RAMOS, MD

Dr. Darlene Ramos is a native of San Antonio and is board certified in internal medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Dr. Ramos has spent her professional career working with the underserved in community health centers. She worked first in the Rio Grande Valley, where she developed a program to improve outcomes for migrant farmworkers with diabetes. Then, for the past twenty-two years, Dr. Ramos has worked at a community health center in Boston’s Italian North End. Working as a primary care physician, she was affiliated with the Massachusetts General Hospital and taught Harvard Medical School graduates ambulatory medicine. In 2021,
Dr. Ramos returned to her roots in San Antonio, where most of her family resides.

She enjoys cooking, reading and studying astrology in her free time. In addition, she is a committed hot yoga student and enjoys weight lifting. She is proud to have placed first in two separate Strongman competitions.

Dr. Ramos loves meeting with all of her patients and is thrilled to serve in your Health by Design Wellness Center.

RITA SCHAFFNER, MD

Dr. Rita Schaffner is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her residency at Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston. There she earned recognition in academic achievement, resident teaching and quality management. Dr. Schaffner has worked in urgent care as a medical director and in primary care as a family physician seeing all ages. She has special interests in preventative cardiovascular health and skin procedures.

Dr. Schaffner and her husband Eric are happy to be settling in San Antonio and enjoy spending time with family, hiking and visiting museums. They have two children who bring them much joy, Kate and Luke. She is grateful to be part of Health by Design.

JOHN LI, MD
CITY BASE WELLNESS CENTER
Dr. John Li was born in Beijing, China. Before coming to the states at the age of six, he spent most of his childhood in the Midwest and primarily in the Chicago suburbs.

Dr. Li started his medical training in Albany, New York, and recently completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Li is very excited to be living in San Antonio and looking forward to never having to unpack his parka (well, almost never). In his spare time, he enjoys playing board games and watching NBA games (he is a Bulls fan, but the Spurs are his Western Conference team). Dr. Li looks forward to practicing faith-driven care with all his patients.

HILDA GONZALEZ-SAENZ, MD
CITY BASE WELLNESS CENTER
Dr. Hilda Gonzalez-Saenz received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed her Family Practice Residency at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH, and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Gonzalez-Saenz is married (26 years) and has a daughter and a son. She volunteered at their parish teaching religious education to elementary school children and volunteers at her kids’ schools whenever possible. She enjoys working in her yard and gardening.
